DEEP IMPACT
The new cornerstone of alphatackle's dedicated deep-sea rod. Leveraging the outstanding flexibility, strength, and sensitivity of the ULDP blank to the fullest, it undergoes further power-up to better accommodate the demands of modern deep-sea fishing.
Introduced in the year 2000, the first generation of the DEEP IMPACT series has consistently led deep-sea fishing in Japan, incorporating minor changes over the years. In 2024, it undergoes a complete renewal with a fresh perspective and a new look.
The concept is a perfect match for the current deep-sea fishing scene. To accommodate both "Golden Eye Snapper" (Kinme, Beryx splendens) and "Beniakou" (Sebastes iracundus) fishing, in today's heavy-style fishing, a power-up has been implemented. The I PLUS model effortlessly handles Golden Eye Snapper fishing with heavy-tackle, while the II PLUS model is a power version designed to handle fast currents with a 3kg load. This is made possible by the 100% MPG material with ULDP blank system.
The 100% MPG material surpasses other glass materials in resilience, and by transforming it into an ultra-thick ULDP blank, rebound is appropriately controlled. Combined with a fast-action setting, it enables clear and rich expression of fish signals, allowing for an ideal bottom pounding of the rig to entice and let the target fish bite. The expected supple flexibility of high-quality glass material is maintained, bending gradually from the tip to handle heavy loads without compromising the firmness of the butt section. This design ensures a secure grip on the fish, avoiding premature mouth release during retrieval.
While encompassing essential features for a dedicated deep-sea rod, it stands out with its beautiful pearl white finish that shines brilliantly in the deep blue. It is a masterpiece poised to face the deep-sea fishing scenes across the world with the specifications of the present.

EXCLUSIVE DEEP-SEA ROD WITH FAST ACTION TARGETING KINME WITH HEAVY TACKLE
The MPG rod, with a history spanning over 20 years, inherits elements that have remained essential and sought after throughout its series. While preserving these timeless features, the rod is designed with specifications that are more adaptable to the current fishing trends.
This model, which reevaluates the aspects of sensitivity and bottom pounding of the rig essential for deep-sea fishing, places golden eye snapper fishing with heavy tackles as its main target. With a thorough focus on rich expression of bites, understanding bottom conditions, and the necessity of cutting the snagged hooks, the rod is consciously designed with power. Adopting the ultra-thick structure known as "ULDP" to faithfully express the unique characteristics of MPG in the blank, it successfully combines rich expression of bites with sufficient power to prevent hook-out by cutting mouth, achieving a high level of flexibility.
