High End Series for Maruika
What is needed for the rod for “maruika” (Uroteuthis edulis) fishing now? And what is the rod that all anglers from the beginner to the expert can catch more maruika? To make the rods as an answer for the questions, alphatackle tested prototypes with trial and error and made “alfa sonic MARUIKA GZ”.
With the concept of the long rod for applying zero tension technique easily, we put the know-how that we cultivated over many years into every detail. The tip section that shows the delicate touch of maruika bigger, the butt section that supports “tataki” technique (shaking the rod as holding the rod horizontal), and so on. The all details create the high performance of alfa sonic MARUIKA GZ.

Fuji TORZITE GUIDE
The tip section is equipped with Fuji’s top grade guide. The Torzite ring & titanium frame reduce the total weight of rod and improve the sensitivity.

Fuji KT + KW GUIDES
Fuji KT & KW guides on the belly to butt section reduce troubles with the tangled line. All guides are SiC.

SGS (Spiral Guide System)
The spiral arrangement of the guides reduces the torsion of the tip section and supports the original performance of the blank. By reducing number of the guides, the rod is lighter and more sensitive. The rate of line tangling is also less than the normal arrangement.

EXCLUSIVE MODEL WITH SPIRAL GUIDE ARRANGEMENT FOR ZERO TENSION TECHNIQUE (FOR RIGHT HANDLE REEL)
・To reduce the torsion of the tip section, the guides on the main blank are arranged in 135° spiral that is easiest to do “tataki” and “zero-tension” techniques on the bottom. The direction of the spiral of this model is designed for use with the right handle reel.
・The 167cm length helps with keeping zero-tension even when the swell is big.
・The white section of the tip works as a marker to make the state of zero-tension easily.
・The glass solid and Torzite guides of the tip make a good total balance of rod and emphasize the tip’s movement by the delicate bites of “maruika” (Uroteuthis edulis).
